I was born in Lucca in 1967, town where I live and work.
In spite of my business commitments and an information systems and commercial
formation, I got a degree in Modern Letters from Pisa Uiversity and,
following my natural inclinations, I oriented toward painting.
In my personal artistic journey, I have first looked for a technical
improvement, to make my hand capable of answering exactly to my creative
pulse, but I do not think this to be an absolute and universal necessity.
Too much or not enough technique can both be an obstacle to art.
My search starts from the figurative art, from the representation of
reality, but only to pursue harmony and beauty with particular attention
to expressivity of colours.
Solar and bright colours are part of my interior world, that escapes
the greyness of the pragmatic every-day life, maybe a sign of a non-acceptance
or maybe only of the need of absolute, perfection, beauty that are in
the human nature and that reality cannot hold.
I do not pretend or hope my expressive phase to be the goal: the important
is the artistic and inner journey, made of study, failed attempts, and
lessons learnt through contacts with other troubled travellers looking
for the same chimera. My thanks go to the Lucchese landscapes painter
Antonio Vignocchi and to his circle of painters.
